Microsoft shut down the servers on their end. This cannot be fixed. The only way to get them back online would be to get Microsoft to turn the servers back on and that is impossible.
They might even be using the servers for different purposes. The statement before this one may or may not be true.

I copied all of the scoring and config xml files for solitaire from my old windows 7 machine. On the first startup, the Windows 10 games read my statistics and winnings from the old machine, but as soon as I play a game, some of the statistics are forgotten — for example it will not add or subtract from my accumulated winnings.
Solitaire sets them back to just the winnings or losses on the first game and begins to accumulate from there. Is there a way to fix this? These games are not officially supported on Windows 10, so sometimes their behavior is unexpected. They no longer seem to work and the option to show the animation is grayed out with a check marked box.

The worst being the fact that the 2,3,4,5 of hearts are almost always dealt 1 of the 4 cards to each player. In other words, if you play the 5 of hearts once hearts have been broken, the other players will almost always have the 2,3,4 distributed equally among them. It happens roughly 80 percent of the time.
There are others, but this is the worst and most noticeable cheat. Ruins and makes worthless what would be an otherwise good game.
Actually noticed this with Freecell…after so many games they are all hard. Just down loaded latest winzip with the same result also tried Winrar and 7-zip. Any suggestions welcome. This seems like a waste of time why not amend the game to transfer all cards to the top somewhat like what happens on free cell. MS forced an OS upgrade on me earlier this month.
Since then, Freecell stopped working. I downloaded, extracted and ran the executable. I only selected Freecell and Mine Sweeper. Mine Sweeper works but Freecell will not work; even if I try running it as administrator. I have tried rebooting. No difference. I uninstalled and reinstalled. The app and icon on there but nothing happens. The reinstall process has worked in the past. I posted on December 15 but no replies so far, so I am bumping this once in hope that somebody can help me.

The game shortcuts remain wherever you left them, in my case in a Games folder on the desktop, but they no longer work. I was able to get FreeCell working again though, which involved copying the Cardgames.
It seems not to have lost track of my scores record. However, the others seem to be a loss, so far. I would at least like to get Minesweeper and a couple of the other games functional again, if someone knows how to accomplish this.
I was slightly disappointed at the resolution. As I dragged the window corner, the cards got more distorted, so I stopped expanding it.
I was astounded at how good it looks on my inch monitor x resolution. I found out by accident that the game looks best when maximized at least on my system.
This happens in both full screen and windowed modes on all three of my monitors. After 20H2, how did you get regular and Spider Solitaires working again? See my post from April 7, above. I have found WD Discovery to almost entirely hopeless though. The MyCloud Home is going to be used as a back-up device for all devices on the network. This works! What a frustrating experience. Finally a solution! Like many of you, I was finding it impossible to map the NAS drive and access the public folder. In the end, I decided to dig out an old machine in storage running an old copy of Windows pre update. To my pleasant surprise, it immediately recognised the NAS drive on the network and I could map it without issue.
I subsequently went out comparing every single entry and setting on the two machines to rule out possible causes. At first, it seemed like everything matched between the two machines – all the same settings applied, same service status etc. I also updated the old machine to 20H2 and it carried on working ….
I was about to give up until I got to the final check on my list – the lanman workstation registry entries. I changed it to match my old machine, restarted and the NAS drive and all other computers on network appeared in explorer, all working as expected. As I said, your post offered glimmers of hope until I looked into my registry and saw the potential for completely stuffing up everything due to the various inconsistent values in my registry key you reference in your post.
Any further assistance or recommendations would be very welcome. I have done everything listed here but still not able to add files to the drive from a Windows 10 system. If the Reset fails Go to another PC to create bootable media to access Repair Mode to do a Reset, or if it fails again do the gold standard Clean install. The bootable media doesn’t require a password, has it’s own drivers, repair and installation files which often work when Windows or the other Repair Mode doesn’t.
Uncheck the box for Recommended Settings to choose the exact version and bit rate for the target PC only. If that fails choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install – this makes it foolproof.
It is a better install than any amount of money can buy and a great learning experience that will make you the master of your PC because you will learn what works best and how to apply it with your own hands. An old company’s sign is surviving means it was not even formatted. It would be hard to imagine doing any install that leaves an old company’s sign-in on a new PC. So please describe this “Clean Install” that you said you did. I gave you the steps that will get rid of all traces of the old owner, which is what’s needed here. XYZ Company is the company I bought the laptops from, the company was bought out by another so the tech people don’t really care to help with old hardware.

Just one question, this version of spider has different rules than my old spider solitaire. Anyone else find this, or is it just me? I used the d3d9. Is there anyway to install this silently? Now will not work after latest download, Tried uninstall and hard remove all previous versions in all folders and re downloaded and reinstalled with no luck. When i run the installer, select the games i want and start the instalation, an error message appears.

I have bad news! The games themselves will still run though. There is an error in italian localization name folder. I use win 8. But Chess Titans in level 10 freezes the PC after about 30 moves, only shut down is possible. I did try any ways without and with compatility modes down to win 7 and vista, but nothing helped.
Now I will try DirectX 9 to install. The chess game froze the pc again. DirectX 9 does not help with a parallel insallation. Love being able to play the Windows 7 games so thank you. Been here several times to download those games and look around. Never commented here before.
I then made a hobby of solving the games and put together a C program to find the best moves. I recently put it at github. I was never able to trap that null pointer error in windows I am looking at that as it might be possible to have the correct older dll that does not cause the problem installed and used but I am no expert on windows internals.. The latest update fall creator? Before W10 the version, I had already this games downloaded play it every day and I made a quick launch on my desktop which I named: W7 games.
Now the version is installed and off course all the games were disappeared. After downloading again from this site, the games work ok for you and many thanks but I only can start them up from the program bar left, than to Games and than choose a game. I am running XenApp 7. User seem to be working fine for 5 to 10 minutes then sessions lock and they are no longer able to access the published application. Only resetting session clears. Wondering if there is something you know of that could be causing session locks or somewhere to check to see what could be the issue. Can you run other applications e.
Need to determine if the whole session is locked, or just the app. According to the users experiencing these issues is the whole session. So if user has two applications running both applications are in a locked state. I was able to reproduce this issue. Seems sessions lock up after 2 to 3 minute period of idle time. It locks up all applications I have open.

Hello Carl, we are still in the build phase of our new environment and made the decision to move the Citrix Computer and User policies in Active Directory instead of storing them in the SQL Database. I think they only apply when you perform a Citrix connection.
Some will be under HDX nodes. Others will be under the nodes that are numbered based on session ID. I do know about the registry key that would show under. Either way, I do not see any of our policies applying in the folder.
Does the Group Policy Management console need to be installed on a delivery controller for managing the Citrix policies in Active Directory? After getting passed that, I got a drop-down box to see the names of the Delivery Groups. Nothing is listed and I cannot manually type it in. Is what I am attempting to perform a supported operation? We have opened a case with Citrix on this issue.
According to Citrix , we have everything setup correctly and meeting the criteria. We have a single GPO that only contains Citrix policies only. We have full control to that policy as well as Group Policy Modeling permissions and they do not seem to apply. We have confirmed the permissions are set correctly on the policy itself for delegation and scope. All About Mobile has launched, albeit with some technical glitches as I write this, but at least it’s secure https. Microsoft services Security updates The last update was in January – and was for the newest branch.
Theoretically, the OS is now ‘vulnerable’, though in practice Windows 10 Mobile is now battle hardened and also an utterly miniscule target for attackers, so the lack of updates won’t actually be an issue. I’d suggest that lack of support also means that people at Microsoft won’t be testing services against Windows 10 Mobile any more, but we all know that they haven’t been doing this for some time, sadly. I can’t imagine the download bandwidth here amounts to much, but Microsoft will, at some point, shut down these servers, probably because things are changing server-side to accommodate new services and platforms.
