Brand new installation of Windows 10 build , fully updated. Added a few email accounts from various websites with no problems, but one of my Yahoo! I can add it correctly, but message don’t sync right. Opening the account settings leads to “change mailbox sync settings” being grayed out, with the only clue as to the reason for this being “syncing your content I’ve used PowerShell to fully uninstall the Mail app, and the problem persists.

In order to edit those settings, it is essential to wait for Mail to load the entire mailbox whatever the default period is; 3 months, in this case before these settings can be changed. The trick is that Mail takes its sweet time to do this. Between my two Yahoo! Once every message was loaded, then I could rename the account, change the settings, etc.
