Well I can’t personalize anything because it keeps asking me to activate with activation pin. Like you said, I should redownload windows 10 and leave the activation pin blank and it should work? The free Upgrade must be run from Windows 7 or 8. Then it can be reinstalled later and will reactivate. If not try right clicking the Start button, open Admin Command Prompt, type slui 4.
Follow the prompts to do the activation robocall. If it fails stay on the line to speak with an agent and explain the situation. They may help you activate it. If not you may need to recover Windows 7 from your backup or Clean Reinstall Windows 7 , deleting all partitions during the booted install. Then immediately without installing any programs or anti-virus besides Microsoft Security Essentials , fully update, Activate, save a Windows 7 System Image backup so you can go back at any time.
Then Install Windows 10 using the media creation tool – Windows Help. Now you have media for reinstalls or needed repairs.
